Self-Assessment

Creating a self-assessment helps learners reflect on their learning and course material comprehension. 

How to Create a Self Assessment (Written Instructions) 

To create a Self-Assessment:

  1. Got to your course Navbar and click Self Assessments. You can also go to the Course Admin tab on your navigation bar to access Self Assessments.  
  2. From Self-Assessments, click New Self-Assessment. 
  3. Type in your self-assessment details. 
  4. Enter a name. 
  5. Assign a category, if desired. 
  6. You can choose to allow hints, and shuffle questions at the self-assessment level. 
  7. When you are ready, click Save. 
  8. To Add Questions to a Self-Assessment:
  9. You can either add questions directly or create question in the question library and then add them. D2L recommends that you create all self-assessment questions within Question Library. 
  10. Click Add/Edit Questions.
  11. Click New, to create new questions.
  12. Click Import to select questions from the question library or upload a file. 
  13. Find the questions or sections that you want to import. 
  14. When you are ready, click Add. 
  15. Click Done Editing Questions.
  16. Click Save and Close.
