Creating a self-assessment helps learners reflect on their learning and course material comprehension.
How to Create a Self Assessment (Written Instructions)
To create a Self-Assessment:
- Got to your course Navbar and click Self Assessments. You can also go to the Course Admin tab on your navigation bar to access Self Assessments.
- From Self-Assessments, click New Self-Assessment.
- Type in your self-assessment details.
- Enter a name.
- Assign a category, if desired.
- You can choose to allow hints, and shuffle questions at the self-assessment level.
- When you are ready, click Save.
- To Add Questions to a Self-Assessment:
- You can either add questions directly or create question in the question library and then add them. D2L recommends that you create all self-assessment questions within Question Library.
- Click Add/Edit Questions.
- Click New, to create new questions.
- Click Import to select questions from the question library or upload a file.
- Find the questions or sections that you want to import.
- When you are ready, click Add.
- Click Done Editing Questions.
- Click Save and Close.
